ABOUT VANGUARD GAMES

Big imaginations.
Careful choices.

We’re building playful digital adventures, with thoughtful choices about what our games need to know about the people playing them.

Little Explorers is our learning adventure for ages 3–5. Adventure Bugs is also joining our collection. For children’s play, we favour keeping progress on the device and avoiding online player profiles.

OUR APPROACH IN LITTLE EXPLORERS

Keep the adventure.
Keep less information.

Progress stays local

The current development build stores profiles, activity results, settings and creative pictures on the device. It does not send these player records to Vanguard Games.

Fewer online connections

Gameplay works offline with bundled artwork and narration. The reviewed build has no online player accounts, advertising, analytics or chat, and does not use the camera, microphone, contacts or location.

Grown-ups handle enquiries

Parents and carers can contact us directly. We ask them to leave children’s names, photos and other identifying information out of support and testing messages.

WHY COLLECTING LESS MATTERS

Children’s privacy
deserves careful design.

A name connected to a child’s play history can make ordinary activity records personal. A service that collects that information needs careful decisions about who can access it, how it is protected, how long it is retained, and what happens to backups and copies held by service providers.

Online accounts also introduce passwords, account recovery and the risk of someone gaining access to another family’s information. Adding tracking or external services creates more places where information may be processed.

Our current Little Explorers design avoids sending player profiles and progress to us. This reduces the child information held in an online system and the security work needed to protect that collection. Safe device storage, clear controls and ongoing review still matter.

WHAT THE GAME DOES STORE

On your device.
Under your care.

Local storage is still data. Little Explorers saves the information needed to continue play, including an optional profile name, progress, activity results, preferences and pictures made in creative activities. A real name, email address or birthday is not required; a nickname or made-up explorer name is enough.

Grown-ups can manage saved progress through the game’s profile controls. There is no publisher-operated online backup or automatic transfer of these player records between devices. This means we cannot restore lost local progress from a central player database.

WEBSITE AND SUPPORT

A clear picture.
Of what we receive.

This website does not include our own advertising trackers or analytics scripts. The hosting provider may process technical information, such as IP addresses, to deliver and protect the site.

If you send us an email, we receive your address and the message you choose to send. The enquiry form opens a draft in your email app; the website does not submit it to a signup database. Support conversations are separate from children’s gameplay records.

App stores and payment providers handle their own services under their own privacy terms. The website privacy notice explains website visits and enquiries in more detail.

These game details describe the current Little Explorers development build. We review privacy practices as a game changes and will explain Adventure Bugs’ practices when its details are available.
